SUJC is a fast growing, modern and dynamic community in the Hertfordshire countryside. We are always looking for new and current members to volunteer for all manner of exciting areas including fundraising, project management, running events, charity work and much, much more.
Shenley is a delightful place to live! It also happens to be the fastest growing United Synagogue community, a modern and dynamic community set against the backdrop of the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside.
Led by our inspirational Rabbi Alan Garber and Rebbetzen Tanya, we are exceptionally proud of our vibrant and rapidly expanding United Jewish community. Our members cover a wide age spectrum, from young families, to those who have retired. We operate on a very informal, friendly and inclusive basis and offer a full range of shul services, including Shabbat, Festivals and weekly childrens’ services.
The Ladies Committee is very active and provide an excellent Kiddush every week, as well as catering for other communal events.
Our Bar and Bat Mitzvah programme is developing fast and there is also a growing range of educational activities for those interested in finding out more on a range of Jewish subjects.
