Hello Residents,

Incidents in progress where a crime is being committed (damage to property or violence for example) must be reported on 999 so that police can respond immediately. Other incidents, for example where the culprits have long gone or rowdy behaviour is occurring can be reported on our non-emergency number 0845 33 00 222. Residents can remain anonymous if they wish.

A recent example of how effective reporting by residents assists police was on the 25th of June in Shenley where a resident saw three males damaging a phone box and immediately called the police. Police responded accordingly and stopped three males resulting in one of them being arrested. This was an excellent result and demonstrates the need for residents to contact us when incidents occur. The males stopped were not Shenley residents.
