Important Security Announcement
Mon 15 Feb 21:00
Dear member
As I am sure you are aware, Shenley United Jewish Community run a weekly volunteer led security rota. The security effort ensures that the community is able to congregate on Shabbat in a safe environment. I am sure you will agree that this forms an essential part of the community..
The intention of the security rota is to include everyone over 18 and under 70, except for those with health or unavoidable work/childcare issues. However at present we have just included men. If your name is not on the list and therefore have not received a copy of the rota, and you are keen to support our community led, volunteer effort then please make contact with us.
When coming to do your duty, there might be a team leader assigned to the Shabbat, who will brief you. However that will not happen all weeks. Hence please make sure you are at least 10 minutes early for your shift so that you can receive either a verbal briefing OR you can go to the back room in the Shul. On the right when entering there is a copy of our operational plan, which will cover what you are meant to do and different reactions to different situations. There will also be a copy of the members names in the drawer which you can use to verify people wanting to enter that you are worried about.
If you cannot do your shift use the names and numbers to swap your shifts. Please then contact security@shenleyunited.org to inform us of the changes. Please Do NOT contact us, asking us to swap your date and time. We are all volunteers and the time simply does not exist for that. Please remember that if you are unable to do your allocated shift and have not swapped it , then the responsibility to cover it unfortunately falls to a few of your peers.
Thank you in advance for your support
Kindest regards
Dr Alan Hirschowitz
Chairman Shenley United Jewish Community
