Learn 2 Lead - Years 7-9

Coming soon to Shenley is a new and exciting program called Learn 2 Lead (L2L).

L2L is a great program already running in other Tribe shul’s where the children in year groups 7,8,9 are invited to join us on one Sunday a month to participate in various different activities which will enhance their ability as leaders and people in general. These include, first aid courses, public speaking training etc.

 

L2L aims to give children the resources needed to stand up and become leaders both in their community and in the wider Jewish community. It is a year program, which will end in the child receiving a certificate confirming that s/he has completed the course. As this is the first year, all age groups will be doing the same thing together but next year the course will grow and expand with the children.

 

As well as this it is a fun and great way to bond with other Jewish people their age in the community. Each Sunday will have a different theme as well as relaxtaion time, which is time to chill with their friends have some refreshments (burgers and chips!) and just have a laugh.

 

It is £5 per week and you can pay as you come so there is no need to make a long-term commitment, just come as you please. It takes place in the chapel and we really hope to see loads of people coming along to have fun, meet friends, eat chocolate and maybe learn a bit about leadership!
