Groups/societies

SUJC offers a range of different groups supporting the varied needs of the community.  A few of them are outlined below and please email for more details if you see something that interests you. (shul@shenleyunited.org)

SUJC Garden Allotment

SUJC now has its very own organic garden at Shenley allotments, quite possibly the only synagogue in the UK to grow its own vegetables, including fresh horseradish for Seder night. Everyone who comes has the opportunity to grow and cultivate a little piece of Shenley. A great way to teach our children about sustainability, teamwork and how to shovel dirt.

"Those who sow in tears will reap in joy" Psalm 130

All ages welcome and always looking for more volunteers, we meet on Sunday mornings but contact Rabbi Levy nzlevy@gmail.com for specific times.

Parents & Toddlers

Soon to be relaunched - the Mother & Baby/Toddler Group (newborn to pre-school age) all mums (& dads) will be welcome to attend.

If you or someone you know has interest in this group, please contact the shul.

5-a-side Football

A weekly game on a Sunday morning - good exercise and a chance to meet some new faces.

Ladies Guild

Everything from organising kiddushes through to major events- the ladies guild does them all.

Chesed Group

The Chesed Group ensures that every member of the community is cared for when needed.  A vital function which is at the heart of our community.

Young Couple & Singles

A regular series of gatherings for the young marrieds and singles in the community.  An informal group which aims to bring people together for social and fun events.
